Blind Assessment

Delicate, berry-toned, richly sweet. Raspberry, honey, narcissus-like flowers, cedar, almond butter in aroma and cup. Sweetly tart structure with juicy, high-toned acidity; lively, full mouthfeel. Resonant, flavor-saturated finish consolidates to notes of raspberry and almond, supported by sweet floral hints.

Notes

Coffees from the Yirgacheffe region are produced from distinctive, largely indigenous Ethiopian varieties of Arabica long grown in the region. This is a “natural” or dry-processed version, meaning the beans were dried inside the fruit, encouraging a cup profile that is sweeter and deeper-toned than perhaps more familiar wet-processed Yirgacheffe profile. Quartet Kaffe is an artisan roastery in Taiwan founded in 2018, dedicated to pursuing coffee performance art and offering unique speciality coffee. Visit www.facebook.com/QuartetKaffe for more information.

Bottom Line

A cleanly fruit-driven natural-processed Yirgacheffe cup, berry- and nut-toned with sweet florals throughout.
